Due to the nature of these life safety systems, it is vital that competent engineers install, commission and maintain the equipment.

Our training courses are meticulously designed to equip engineers with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to effectively operate and maintain our systems. The EVC training day also includes a one-hour CPD element.
Voice Alarm and Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) systems are critical for life safety, and regular maintenance by competent personnel is essential. This requirement is reinforced by British Standards (BS5839-8:2013 for voice alarm and BS5839-9:2021 for EVC).

1 Day Course
VIGIL3 Voice Alarm System PAVA First Responders Training
The One Day First Responders PAVA (VIGIL2 and VIGIL3) course covers the following topics:
Hands-On Practical Course:
- Designed for engineers responsible for maintenance of the VIGIL3 voice alarm system
- Conducted by experienced Baldwin Boxall engineers
Subjects Covered:
- System Overview
- Introduction to output and input modules
- System configuration using the configurator
- Deciphering fault & activity logs
- Volume adjustment
- Surveillance level adjustment
- Message upload, timings & settings

- Responsible for fault checking and BS5838-8 maintenance of VIGIL3 systems

- Training sessions usually run from 9.30am to 4pm
- Held at our factory in Crowborough, East Sussex
- Limited to six engineers per session
