The Baldwin Boxall Touchscreen Microphone is a multi-function user interface compatible with VIGIL2 and VIGIL3 voice evacuation alarm systems. Unitouch touchscreen PC paging technology allows simple intuitive control.
With a 7″ capacitive touchscreen display, this flexible microphone enables users to pre-record messages and store them for regular or timed broadcasts, with the ability to override the system for priority broadcasts in the event of an emergency. Independent zones, multiple zones or all zones can be targeted for any announcement type. Configurable group buttons enable the selection of multiple zones by a single touch.

- Straight-forward multi-page scroll through operation
- ‘User access level’ defined functions
- Full control of a VIGIL voice alarm system
- Record, store messages, play back and even schedule (non-critical) messages.
- Near Field Communication (NFC) smart card user and/or pin code log on (access). Protecting the microphone in this way ensures that only those qualified to use the unit are able to do so
- Socket to directly connect an MP3 player and then broadcast music to user-selected zones (requires factory configuration)
- Hard wired bypass input enabling the broadcast of an emergency ‘all call’ (site wide/all zones) announcement in the unlikely event of a processor failure
- Zone or ‘all call’ selection
- Live speech for general paging announcements.
- Emergency paging facility – given highest priority on the system, automatically overriding all other broadcasts
- Volume adjustment function provides the ability to change the volume of non-critical broadcasts to selected zones
- View detailed activity history and fault logs with the option to download these if required
- Configurable group buttons enable selection of multiple zones by a single touch
- Configurable function buttons enable automatic multiple message playback

BS EN 54: Fire Detection & Fire Alarm Systems, is a mandatory standard that specifies requirements and laboratory testing for every component of fire detection and fire alarm system.
UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) marking on products replaces CE marking in the UK and requires that certification of construction products, such as VACIE / Voice Alarm Control & Indicating Equipment is performed by a UK-based approved body.
