| The BVRD2M routeing matrix enables
the user to modify settings via a laptop computer by simply connecting
it to the front panel of the BVRD2M and running the Configurator
software. The user can then quickly update the functions of the
routeing matrix, saving valuable on site engineering time.
By using the USB2 port
on the front panel and a USB2 cable it is possible to program the
BVRD2M by the use of simple configuration pages. The software takes
the user through step by step, with easy to understand pages. Adjustments
to the BVRD2M system that can be made include: volume levels, EQ,
monitoring modes, high pass filters, chimes, surveillance and ambient
noise.
The software offers
the following functions:
Ability to modify all BVRD2M firmware.
Load messages.
Change accessibility codes.
Fault logging with time and date stamping (a laptop needs
to be connected to the BVRD2M).
System design - possible to create your own configuration
settings withoutbeing connected to the BVRD2M.
Download configuration settings to store for future use.
Upload new/modified configuration settings.
Each Baldwin Boxall rack
that contains a BVRD2M will be supplied with a copy of this software
and the system's default settings will be saved as standard.

~ Unitouch Paging Station software

UNItouch
PC paging technology allows simple intuitive control of a VIGIL
voice alarm system. By simply touching various parts of the screen
(touchscreen version) the operator can access fire microphones,
paging to any or all zones, carry out emergency broadcasts, select
background music or messages for any zones.
UNItouch software also provides the user with fault diagnostic information
which is displayed in a straightforward manner and will include
date and time stamp information - and will even recommend solutions
to rectify a fault. Faults such as line (A/B circuit), reserve amplifier,
power supply and charger, ambient noise sensors, messages, fire
and paging microphones, will all be indicated. This simple fault
reporting enables problems to be dealt with quickly and efficiently
as faults are displayed immediately on the screen - or even emailed
(purchase of UNIdial is necessary for this option) - instead of
in the usual manner of indicators at the rack or control microphone.
UNItouch provides access to a full history log which clearly shows
any system activity.
To
add further flexibility, the optional UNIdial software (PCTS5) allows
users to remotely dial into the UNItouch system (via a firewall
supplied by the user) to provide remote / off-site diagnostics.
UNIdial will allow the remote user to view the various screens including
the fault and history log. Includes software only (NOTE: we strongly
recommend that Baldwin Boxall engineers install/commission this
software).
There
are two versions of UNItouch available - Gold or Silver. UNItouch
Gold displays full bitmap multi-layer graphics, providing a visual
layout of the site, whereas UNItouch Silver presents the operator
with rows of zone 'buttons'. Additionally, UNItouch Gold and UNItouch
Silver are available with either the recommended touchscreen facility
or, if preferred, can be provided with a standard TFT screen and
mouse.
Cable
requirements: two x 2 core screened 1.5 mm fire rated cable (one
for data and one for line out/audio port). Each unit is supplied
with a cable termination box.
