The BVRD2M routeing matrix enables the user to modify settings via a laptop computer by simply connecting it to the front panel of the BVRD2M and running the Configurator software. The user can then quickly update the functions of the routeing matrix, saving valuable on site engineering time.

By using the USB2 port on the front panel and a USB2 cable it is possible to program the BVRD2M by the use of simple configuration pages. The software takes the user through step by step, with easy to understand pages. Adjustments to the BVRD2M system that can be made include: volume levels, EQ, monitoring modes, high pass filters, chimes, surveillance and ambient noise.

The software offers the following functions:

Up to 128 way, constructed in 16 way switch boards.

Ability to modify all BVRD2M firmware.

Load messages.

Change accessibility codes.

Fault logging with time and date stamping (a laptop needs to be connected to the BVRD2M).

System design - possible to create your own configuration settings without being connected to the BVRD2M.

Download configuration settings to store for future use.

Upload new/modified configuration settings.

Ability to program any BVRD2M on a network from any one of the BVRD2Ms within the system.

Each Baldwin Boxall rack that contains a BVRD2M will be supplied with a copy of this software and the system's default settings will be saved as standard.

BVRD2M ~ Unitouch Paging Station software

unitouch_screenshot

Our Unitouch touchscreen PC paging technology allows simple intuitive control of a BVRD2M voice alarm system. By simply touching the relevant part of the screen the operator can access fire microphones, page to any or all zones, select background music and/or broadcast to any zones.

A fault diagnostics page is accessible, which will display any faults with time and date stamp – such as Line Faults (A/B circuit), Reserve Amplifiers, Power Supply and Charger, Ambient Noise Sensors, Messages, Fire Microphones, Paging Microphones. The system will also provide recommended solutions to rectify the fault.

System Features:

 Select any paging zones.

Select and broadcast any message.

Record own messages and play them back (optional).

Select background music.

All screens are menu driven.

System fault/busy indicators.

Fault diagnostics – Time and Date Stamped – can be emailed with added
notes (i.e. ‘engineer called out’) to up to six addresses.

Each system is a bespoke design for each project.

Guest and Administrator accounts exist as standard – further accounts can be added and user rights set.

User activity is logged i.e. staff member one evacuated 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor at 1500 hours on xx date.

Users with the correct rights can amend the system as follows:
            Add/remove zone buttons.
            Import new layouts/bitmaps.
            Configure groups.
            Edit names and colours.
            Configure external relay contacts.

The paging station will automatically start and connect to the other paging stations that are on the RS485 data bus. We do recommend to prevent system failure of the PC/software most of the PC’s features are disabled (i.e. floppy Drive and CD-ROM) to stop unnecessary software being installed.
