Development Engineer

Baldwin Boxall is looking for a firmware/hardware engineer.

The successful candidate will work in the busy R&D Department and should have knowledge/experience in:

•      Audio engineering.

•      DSP programming (analogue devices).

•      RS232/485 data communication.

•      Fibre and Ethernet data communication.

•      Class D audio amplifiers and switch mode power supplies.

Buyer

The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of all components required for manufacturing and also ensuring deliveries are met on time.

As well as raising PO’s, matching invoices, chasing, etc, you will also be able to independently second source electronic components as and when required to maintain production flow. You will also be required to continually work with suppliers to reduce costs and lead times by setting up special purchasing agreements. You would be expected to monitor supplier performance.

The successful candidate must have purchasing experience ideally in a similar field. You must also be self motivated and have excellent communication skills.
